If English isn’t your first language and you want to improve your skills to help study, find work, integrate into your community or manage everyday life more confidently, then ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) is the course for you.
Our English classes will give you the written and spoken skills you need to use English in your life in the UK and help you be able to achieve your aims and ambitions for the future.
We have courses from Pre-Entry Level to Level 2 at various locations around Wolverhampton.
New courses this year includes our ESOL for Work pathways which give you the opportunity to learn the skills needed to work in a variety of sectors whilst continuing to develop your English skills. These courses are offered for students working at Level 1 in their English.
We have a range of pathways including Business, Retail, Hospitality, Sewing & Textiles, Health and Social Care and Childcare.
All our courses develop all 4 skills, reading, writing, speaking and listening, alongside working on improving your spelling, grammar and vocabulary. Our lessons cover a range of topics, and these may involve looking at the local area, life in the UK and other current news items such as the environment.
Studying on an ESOL course involves the following:
- understanding how English is used in work and daily communication
- gaining valuable teamwork and communication skills by taking part in group activities
- developing your confidence
- learning about life in the UK and how to interact with your local community
- meeting people from lots of different countries and learning about new cultures
All our teachers are experienced and experts in teaching English and we offer courses at all levels from complete beginners to Level 2.
These courses will help you to think creatively, solve problems and provide you with the transferable skills useful for everyday life and for any job.
