That's when I discovered the Teaching Assistant (TA) courses at Adult Education Wolverhampton (AEW). It felt like the perfect first step, a chance to gain a qualification, build confidence, and work toward a career that truly excited me.
I went on to complete Levels 2 and 3. The courses were fantastic the units were well-structured, and the support from the teachers was incredible. We were provided with all the necessary resources, including laptops, and I always felt encouraged throughout my studies.
As part of the Level 3 course, I completed a placement at a school, where I was fortunate to continue working after finishing my studies. This experience allowed me to develop essential skills for the TA role, including communication and hands-on experience working with children.
My life has changed significantly, I am now independent, able to provide for myself and my children, and I am confident in my career prospects.
This year, I decided to take my career further and enrol at university to pursue a teaching degree. Thanks to the strong foundation provided by AEW and my experience working in a school, the transition has been much smoother. My goal is to complete a PGCE at the University of Wolverhampton and become a primary school teacher.
I always recommend AEW to others and even encouraged my friend to complete the TA course.
AEW has played a vital role in shaping my career and transforming my life.
