Subject Information

95% of our students progress to university each year to start on the path to the career of their dreams. Adult Education Wolverhampton offers the following subjects:

  • Business and Law
  • Health Professions
  • Social Science 

We have excellent links with a wide range of universities in the West Midlands. Students are invited to join regular events delivered by their curriculum staff and students on the Health Professions course use their state-of-the-art science laboratories and equipment.

As well as giving you the skills to progress to university or further learning these courses will help you to think creatively, solve problems and provide you with the transferable skills useful for everyday life and for any job.

Pre-Access
The Pre Access course is a level 2 certificate in Skills for Further Learning. This course provides students with the academic skills in order to progress onto one of our Level 3 Access to Higher Education Diplomas.

Students studying Pre Access, achieved 94% Pass rate with 100% progressing to English, maths or Access to Higher Education Diplomas in September 2023.

Students following a Pre Access course will gain a thorough understanding of a health, nursing and social policy, social work, psychology, biology and study skills subjects, which students have said "prepares them academically when completing and achieving the Access to higher education diploma".
