All Adult Education Wolverhampton (AEW) courses are funded by the West Midlands Combined Authority, the Education and Skills Funding Agency or other funding organisations, therefore students must be eligible for funding under the funding organisations criteria, this will be applied using individuals circumstances.
At enrolment students will be asked to agree to comply with the Student's Charter and with all AEW policies and procedures which can be found on our website.
Fees, Payments and Refunds Fees
You may be able to study for free or at a lower cost. If you do have to pay, we try to keep fees low. To book your place on a course you need to:
- pay in full
- ask if you can pay monthly
- ask about your options if you are on a level 3 course or above (this will include an Advanced Learner Loan) or prove that your employer is going to pay

Reception in the Foyer Building, St. George’s Parade, Wolverhampton WV2 1AZ.
Paying by instalments
You can pay monthly if your course costs £60 or over. You will need to pay your first payment when you enrol plus a £10 administration fee. The final payment must be made before the end of your course.
Refunds
We only refund your money if:
you write to us 6 working days before the course starts or we have to cancel the course
If a course is cancelled after it has started, we will refund part of your payment.
Course closures
If there are not enough students on a course, we may close your course or join it with another one. If this is not possible, we will offer you another course where we can or we will refund your fees pro-rata.
Your safety is important to us. We want you to feel safe. We have processes in place to make sure Adult Education Wolverhampton is a safe place to learn.
It is important that you always wear your ID badge while on site.
If you are a student at AEW and there is something worrying you about the safety or well-being of yourself or someone else, you will be able to contact our Safeguarding Team for advice, the contact details will be in our Student Handbook.
We want to help you to learn and to treat you with respect.
We expect all staff and students to:

To get the most out of your course and achieve your goal we expect you to attend each class and to be on time.
If you are unable to attend your class, you will be expected to call our attendance hotline, full details will be given at enrolment in our student handbook.
