Social action in practice at Adult Education Wolverhampton
Life Skills students raised over a £100 this Christmas to buy food for The Well foodbank in Wolverhampton.
Students made items to sell at a charity Christmas fair to raise funds. They researched what the food bank were asking for, made a shopping list, worked out the cost so that they stuck to their budget while they walked round the shop buying items.
Students have learnt that they don't have to try and save the world on their own. But by coming together and taking small positive actions they can help to improve their local community and can collectively make a big difference.
