Fast track your way to university and this time next year you could be studying for a degree. Our Access to Higher Education pathways will give you the qualification and the study skills needed to be successful at university.

New pathway: Public Services and Policing
If you want to work in any of our public services including, the police, civil service, fire service or the armed forces then this pathway could be for you. If you are particularly interested in working in the police force, we have a partnership with West Midlands Police where you could progress straight onto a Level 5 Apprenticeship after successful completion of your Access to Higher Education Diploma.
What careers could this lead you to?
Solicitors advise clients about the law and act on their behalf in legal matters.
Salary: £25,000 to £100,000
Nurses care for adults who are sick, injured or have physical disabilities.
Salary: £27,055 to £40,588
Psychologists apply the scientific study of the mind and behaviour to solving real life problems.
Salary: £24,000 to £60,000
Police officers keep law and order, investigate crime, and support crime prevention.
Salary: £19,164 to £41,130
CELTA is ideal if you would like a qualification to be able to teach English as a foreign language but have little or no teaching experience. It is the most widely recognised English language qualification in the world and the most often requested by employers.
What career could this lead you to?
English as a foreign language (EFL) teacher
EFL teachers help students learn or improve their English in the UK and abroad.
Salary: £14,000 to £35,000
This course is ideal if you already supervise people or want to move into a job role that involves supervising people. Coaching and mentoring can be effective approaches to developing your employees. Both have grown in popularity, with many employers using them to enhance the skills, knowledge and performance of their people around specific skills and goals.
What career could this lead you to?
Supervisors manage teams of staff and organise their workload.
Salary: £15,000 to £30,000

If you are thinking about joining a course at Level 3 or above, you may be worried about course fees. The good news is that we can help.
Student Services will give you all the information you need. We will make sure we give you the right information for your needs and the type of course you want to study. It is important you look at all available options to pay for your course.
You can also visit www.moneyadviceservice.org.uk to get independent financial information.
One of your options may be to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan. In the case of Access to Higher Education Diploma’s, this loan is ‘written off’ when you progress to university.
