- The Level 2 Certificate in BSL builds on Level 1 skills and develops students’ ability to participate in longer, more varied and more detailed conversations in British Sign Language.
- Designed for students who want to improve communication with Deaf people in everyday, social, community or work situations.

Course Requirements
- You must be aged 19 or over.
- An initial assessment will ensure you join the right level.
- Completion of Level 1 Award in British Sign Language (recommended)
- Suitable for adults with a working knowledge of basic BSL wishing to progress to the next level.
- Students must have adequate vision, dexterity and facial expression skills needed for BSL communication
- Regular attendance and independent practice recommended.

- Independent study using BSL videos, vocabulary practice and homework.
How will my progress be monitored and assessed?
- Internally assessed by your teacher and externally verified.
- Assessment includes practical demonstrations and conversations in BSL.
- No written exam required - assessment is entirely practical.
