Introduction to Deaf culture and communication awareness.

• You must be aged 19 or over.
• Suitable for complete beginners with no prior BSL experience needed.
• Learners must have sufficient vision, manual dexterity and facial/body movement to produce and receive BSL.
• Regular attendance and independent practice recommended.

• Builds basic communication skills using BSL.
• Increases awareness of Deaf culture and inclusive communication.
• Develops confidence in using simple signs in everyday situations.
• Supports personal development and community engagement.
• Prepares students for further BSL study.
