  • ESOL Level 2 is the highest level within the ESOL Skills for Life framework and prepares students for employment, further education, apprenticeships and Level 2/3 vocational courses.
  • It follows the ESOL Skills for Life (Level 2) qualification, mapped to the National Standards for Adult Literacy and the Adult ESOL Core Curriculum.
  • The course is designed for adults who are confident English users and want to refine their accuracy, develop advanced communication skills and operate effectively in academic, professional and community settings.

Course Requirements

  • You must be aged 19 or over.
  • Suitable for students who have completed ESOL Level 1 or demonstrate the equivalent level in an initial assessment.
  • Willingness to complete reading, writing and speaking tasks with increasing complexity.
  • Regular attendance and independent study are essential at this level.
