At Adult Education Wolverhampton we provide opportunities for students and service users to learn about different career pathways and develop their employability skills. We aim to help overcome barriers to learning and provide support to make realistic and well-informed decisions about progression. The Student Services Team will ensure you receive a student-centred, confidential and impartial service.

Career Guidance programme includes:

  • Online careers tool to explore your next steps.
  • Information, advice and guidance prior to enrolment to ensure students have chosen the right course for their individual needs and support them to progress towards their chosen career path.
  • Impartial information advice and guidance on progression routes and available next steps.
  • One to one free and confidential guidance appointments for all current, potential and previous students who need individual support with planning their future career path.
  • Bespoke careers education information and advice provided in all curriculum areas.
  • Opportunities to meet further and higher education providers and local training organisations.
  • Support with applications and personal statements for university.
  • Opportunities to develop employability skills including CV building, interview skills and personal statements for job applications.
  • Opportunities to explore the world of work and learn about labour market information throughout the course.
  • Opportunities to visit workplaces and experience the world of work through work placements, work experience and volunteering.
  • Opportunities to meet local employers and employees.
  • Gain a better understanding of job roles within local businesses and organisations.
