A trip to Go Ape...

Life Skills students at Adult Education Wolverhampton want to say a big thank you to the staff at Go Ape Cannock Chase earlier this term for a fantastic day.

Students were able to take part in one of their most challenging activities yet on the high ropes and zip lines. They demonstrated great resilience and team spirit – important work related skills - as they supported each other in completing the course.

At the end of the day students said that it made them feel excited, brave and happy.

A trip to a farm...

Life skills community classes at Adult Education Wolverhampton help to develop our student's independence as they explore the local community.

Students have recently taken part in a visit to Northycote farm where they learnt about the animals on the farm and encountered a number of fragrances and textures in the sensory garden there.

Spirit of the season

Life Skills students at Adult Education Wolverhampton are decorating their Christmas tree with gratitude baubles. The aim is to bring some Christmas cheer and to remind them that there is always something to be grateful for and to focus on the positive.

Student Frost Fair

The Christmas Frost Fair returned to Adult Education Wolverhampton. Life Skills students raised £65 for charity by selling gifts they have made this term. The craft fair allows students to practice decision making, teamwork and customer service. Raising money for charity also gives rise to discussions about social action and supporting the local community. Well done to those involved.

Christmas gratitude

Life Skills students at Adult Education Wolverhampton are getting into the spirit of the season and it is all about teamwork. Students have been working together to bring some festive cheer to the Maltings.

They have also placed the box for the local food bank collection under the tree. The local food bank collection is an annual social action project that students get involved in, it allows them to discuss and learn about relevant issues including the 'cost of living crisis'.
