Adult Education Wolverhampton has successfully renewed their matrix Accreditation demonstrating the high-quality information, advice, and guidance they give to students.

The matrix Standard is the international quality standard for organisations that deliver information, advice and/or guidance (IAG), as part of their service offering.

Adult Education Wolverhampton was praised for having a good understanding of local skills priorities and tailoring the support given to students and for providing financial support to help remove barriers for students accessing classes and providing the opportunity to learn for as many as possible.

Community partners have also praised Adult Education Wolverhampton for the support given to them to build their capacity to provide learning in community locations.

Roger Chapman, Head of the matrix Service for The Growth Company said:

“This is a fantastic achievement for Adult Education Wolverhampton and I would like to congratulate the team on their success. We believe that at the heart of high-quality advice and support services are strong leadership, excellent service and a focus on continuous improvement, all underpinned by effective use of the resources available. The matrix Standard is designed to benchmark organisations against best practice in these areas. With their accreditation success, Adult Education Wolverhampton is working to provide the best possible support to their clients.”

A recent re-structure of the student services team has provided greater access to support for students from their first step into learning to students progressing onto their next steps into further learning or employment.

If students are considering taking up learning they are urged to make an appointment with the Student Services Team, whose focus centres on supporting students to get onto the right course at the right level, so that they are enabled to reach their potential. The course offer for classes starting in the autumn is live now for applications. Get in touch for more information or visit the city centre site in Old Hall Street on one of our open days in August and September to speak to the student services team or to curriculum specialists.

The student services team can offer support if students:

  • are keen to make a new start but not sure how
  • want to update old skills or gain new ones
  • want to find a course
  • want to get back into work
  • are thinking about changing their life or career
