Get the Nation Learning at AEW

Get the Nation Learning is a long-term, year-round campaign run by the Learning and Work Institute, aimed at, and winning the case for lifelong learning. The campaign reached a high point during the National Learning Week between 3 - 7 November 2025 of which Adult Education Wolverhampton (AEW) was proud to support.

During the week several employers and representatives were invited into AEW to speak to our students. The topics covered ranged from ‘A Day in the life of a Social Worker’ to Online Safety with many other topics in between.

We would like to thank all of the speakers who kindly gave up their time to visit during this week to encourage the students to progress, enrich their learning and look at possible career progression routes.

A special thank you to - Charlotte from Smile Education, Julia from the Good Shepherd, James from West Midlands Police, Leanne from Blackrook Academy, Mirriam from Zebra Access, Kate from Barclays Bank, Rabiah from the Social Work team and Josie from Access to Business.
To sum it up Charlotte at Smile Education said, “it’s such a pleasure to meet passionate education professionals and those just starting their journey. This really is one of my favourite parts of the role”.

Floristry students who took part said’ they were given information about setting up their own business and the support available’.

AEW looks forward to collaborating again with all involved in the future.
