Empowering students with learning disabilities: Careers Guidance visit to The Maltings

Identifying the path to achieve a long-term goal can be a daunting task for our students with learning disabilities, as it often signifies embarking on a lengthy journey.

This year, we have taken steps to make things clearer. Leanne Cooper the careers guidance officer from the Student Services team visited Life Skills classes at The Maltings to explain how she could support our students on their learning journey. Some students decided to meet with Leanne right away, while for others, it will happen gradually over the year. Leanne will be available to meet with students at The Maltings every month.

This meeting also provided our students with an opportunity to meet Leanne face-to-face, who is one of our safeguarding team members.
