Eid Mubarak.

Eid marks the ending of the holiest month in Islam, Ramadan which is a period of rigorous fasting and spiritual growth for Muslims around the world. It is the most important festival for Muslims who celebrate with family and friends. 

This year Eid is expected to fall on Wednesday 10th April 2024, depending on the moon sighting. The date of Eid changes every year because it does not follow the Gregorian calendar that we use. To calculate the Eid Date, they use the Islamic / Hijri Calendar which is a lunar based calendar. Each year every significant day of Islam shifts forward around 11 days. That’s why moon sightings determine the ending of the Ramadan and Eid ul-fitr occurrence. In Islam each day ends before the Maghrib prayer with the sunset. The last day of fasting ends after Maghrib and after the moon sighting, Eid starts.
