Our Skills for Work courses help you develop confidence and achieve qualifications needed to gain employment or progress to further learning.

 

If you do not have a Level 1 English or Maths qualification, our Steps to Employment programmes are ideal. Subjects include Adult Social Care, Office Skills, Childcare and Working in Schools. You will be able to work towards a specific job role whilst developing your confidence and social skills, English, Maths, and achieve qualifications. Courses may also include visits to exhibitions, work experience opportunities and careers guidance.

 

Our office Skills Level 1 course will give you the opportunity to develop skills in manual and computerised bookkeeping, word processing, English, Maths and ICT skills.

 

Start your career in Adult Health and Social Care by joining our Steps to a Caring Career programme. Gain the skills employers are looking for alongside English and Maths.

 

Our short courses include: People Manual Handling, Health & Safety in the Workplace, First Aid Level 2 and 3 and also Paediatric First Aid, Food Safety, Risk Assessment, Infection Control, Safe Handling of Medication and Manual Handling of Inanimate Objects.

 

We also offer bespoke training to employers.
