You may qualify for an Advanced Learner Loan. These loans help you to pay the fees charged by colleges and training organizations. Most learners aged 19 and over, studying at Level 3 to 6, will qualify for these loans from the UK government. It’s easy to apply, your household income isn’t taken into account and there’s no credit check.
If you are thinking about studying an Access to Higher Education Diploma course, as long as you go on to complete your higher education course at some point after completing your Access course, your loan will be written off. If you don’t go on to complete a higher education course you won’t have to pay anything back until you are earning over £25,000 per year.
The online calculator will give you an estimate of your monthly payments and the interest you'll be charged based on your expected salary after you've completed your course.

There are some important changes in how the Advanced Loans facility is going to be managed by the Education and Skills Funding Agency (ESFA) in 2019-20. The changes mean that you have to apply as soon as possible to make sure there are funds available for you to get a loan for your course fees. The amount put aside for students at Adult Education Wolverhampton is set by mid-August and there is no further opportunity for this amount to increase before November 2019. Please contact Student Services as soon as possible to arrange an appointment so that you can complete your loan application by Wednesday 14 August 2019.
