Supported Employment Programme

Do you have a learning disability?

Do you want to learn the skills to help you move toward a paid job?

This employment preparation programme could be for you.

This is a 1-year programme, with time spent between college and a work placement. When it ends you will have skills to help you get a paid job. Alongside the work placement you will develop your English, maths and IT skills as well as learning about the world of work. Your work placement will be based on your interests and ambitions and you will be fully supported to get the most out of the experience.

You do not need any qualifications but we would like you to have the willingness to learn and the ambition to move towards a paid job.

To apply you will need to:

Have a learning disability

Have an Education and Healthcare Plan (EHCP) if you are aged under 25.

Have ambition to move towards paid employment when the Supported Internship ends

Be able to take part in the programme for up to 3 and half days per week

You will need to speak to one of our teachers or to a member of the Student Services team. Call 01902 558180 or email enquiries@aes.wolverhampton.gov.uk
