At the Outstanding-rated Adult Education Wolverhampton, 95% of Students gained a grade 4 or 5 and above in maths – the equivalent to the previous grade C.
One student, Daiga Mardi, even achieved a Grade 5 – a strong pass – despite missing her first examination because she was otherwise busy giving birth to twins. Special consideration to her situation was given by the exam board.
Meanwhile, some 73% of English GCSE students gained a grade 4 and above, with several gaining grades 6, 7s and 8s.

Congratulations to Kulwant Kaur, who passed her GCSE Maths with a Grade 4. Kulwant said, "I have learned so many things, this has changed my life"... "Never stop learning, because life never stops teaching" Kulwant is progressing onto English Level 2 in September!

Congratulations to Patricia Pitt, who passed her GCSE Maths with a Grade 5. Patricia said she joined the course as she was retired and wanted to help my grandchildren in the future with their studies, and hopefully volunteer to help anyone else who want to improve their maths. Patricia said "I really enjoyed the course, I felt really welcome. I liked the fact that the class was of mixed ages, and I had a really good experience and also made lots of new friends."
Congratulations to Natalie Smith who passed her GCSE Maths with a Grade 5. Natalie said "I was nervous to start as I haven't been in education since school, however, I really enjoyed the course and I have progressed really well. My tutor Terry was amazing."Natalie will be progressing onto a PGCE in English!
