Tammy Latham – Office skills

My advice to anyone thinking about learning is, “come straight to Adult Education Wolverhampton, it can help you no matter what!"

At the age of 14 my secondary education came to an abrupt stop due to being bullied at school. This was a really hard time for me and the end of my formal education.

I am a mum of 4 and really wanted to do something with my life. My friend had attended Adult Education Wolverhampton and raved about what a fabulous place it was to learn and encouraged me to look at what was available. After my horrible experience at school I was very scared but after much persuasion I enrolled on the steps to office course. This was a massive step for me but one I can say I am really proud to have made.

I am now happily attending the course and I love learning. The tutors are amazing and are always happy to answer any questions in order to help me progress. My confidence has grown massively and I am always eager to ask for help. I now say, “If you don’t ask you’ll never know!”

I plan to complete higher level qualifications in Maths and English and carry on with my office skills. My children are proud of me and my learning is encouraging them to do more too.

My advice to anyone thinking about learning is, “come straight to Adult Education Wolverhampton, it can help you no matter what!
