Family Learning - arts & crafts

Learn a new craft skill with your child. One of the skills will include henna painting. The art of applying henna to the hands and feet is known as Mehndi, and is traditionally used for celebrations and rites of passage. Indian tattoos feature fine lines and floral patterns, while Arabic henna designs tend to be larger in scale and African henna patterns are more bold and geometric.

What should I expect from the class?
  • Expert tuition in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. You will need a pen and notebook. Other materials will be discussed as the course progresses. Some basic materials such as paper and art media will be provided by the teacher.
  • Lots of advice and tips
  • At the end of the course the teacher will advise you about progression to other levels and other creative courses.
