New Level 1 Childcare course starting March 2017 at Beckminster House, Birches Barn Road, Pennfields


Level 1 Award in Caring for Children
This course provides an introduction to the key aspects of caring for children. Ideal if you want to develop the relevant skills and knowledge needed for working with children. It is suitable if you would like to gain a qualification which will give you a better insight into working with children.

Course Entry Requirements

Level 1 English skills

It has been designed to:
  • introduce you to a wide range of topics including communicating with children, engaging children through activities, supporting learning and planning for the care of children’s physical and emotional needs
  • provide the practical skills and knowledge required to work in the Children and Young People’s Workforce sector
  • provide opportunities for progression to the Level 2 Certificate and other related qualifications in the sector
