Case Studies

Hannah Grimsley – STL Level 3 2015-2016

I chose the college after researching the course a lot and looking at other colleges. I noticed that Adult Education Wolverhampton (AEW) had an 'outstanding' rating from Ofsted and this impressed me. When I came to look at the college on enrolment day, I was taken back by how organised everything was and after speaking to a member of staff (who turned out to be my lovely tutor) I knew that I was going to be offered the support and expertise of highly qualified staff.

Lisa Dawes 2015

I have recently achieved a level 3 qualification on my Teaching Assistant course. This has really boosted my confidence and self-esteem. I am now working on my CV with the hope of finding employment. I can honestly say that the support from my tutor, reader (I am registered blind) and the college have aided in my success. The support I have received at the college has been excellent. The team as a whole have helped to disable some of the barriers faced by myself and maybe others in similar situations.

Completing the STL L3 course has enabled me to find employment in a primary school. This was the first job I applied for, in my placement school, who were equally as impressed with AEW and have since recommended it to other volunteers who wish to gain a qualification.
