WAES joins in with 'Residents Week' activities

Residents week provides opportunities for local people to compete for jobs, enhance their skills, become self-employed and improve their health and fitness.

Health Support and Tasters sessions

Tuesday 15th March

Join WAES at the Bert Williams Leisure Centre on from 9.00am - 12.30pm

Watch craft demonstrations and have a go… subjects include Sewing, Knitting, Crochet, Flower Arranging, Jewellery Making:

  • access information about the programme,
  • chat to tutors to find more information about the different courses available,
  • take part in a free craft activity

Creative courses offer individuals the opportunity to develop an interesting activity to improve their health and well-being, improve their skills for employment or just enjoy learning something new.

Bert Williams Leisure Centre is also offering free gym and a swim; aqua aerobics and a 30 minute circuits taster, free consultations with a health trainer, to provide you with reliable advice about your weight, diet and lifestyle choices; and a group lead walk in conjunction with the brilliant Beat the Street campaign.
