Fast track to University

Come along to one of our open days to find a Level 3 programme that can help you on the road to a new career.

Level 3 courses are ideal if you are looking at going on to study at university or are looking for a new career option.

The benefits of studying an Access to Higher Education Diploma here at Outstanding Adult Education Wolverhampton:

  • Excellent preparation for university & employment
  • 100% of students who completed and achieved go onto University


If you are between 19-23 years old and have not already achieved a full Level 3, the course may be FREE.

Alternatively, visit Student Services who will take you through your options. One option could be to apply for an Advanced Learner Loan.

There is a special deal for students who study an Access to Higher Education Diploma. If you go on to complete your higher education course, your Advanced Learner Loan will be written off.


Students who have completed and achieved have gone on to university to study the following:

  • Sculpture and 3D Design
  • Social Work
  • Sports Science
  • Teaching

Access to Higher Education L3 Diplomas in:

  • Art & Design

Ever wanted to work in the classroom?

Are you and experienced teaching assistant working in a school or college?

Adult Education Wolverhampton is offering two options for students who may wish to work in education:

Diploma in Supporting Teaching and Learning Level 3 for students who are interested in working with teachers to support children and young people in mainstream schools or colleges.

Certificate for the Advanced Practitioner in Schools or Colleges Level 4 This course provides excellent professional development for experienced teaching assistants who are able to coach and mentor colleagues and support the learning process in schools or colleges.

Previous students have gone on to work in primary and secondary schools, local colleges and Adult Education providers.

Ever wanted to work in the creative industries?

Adult Education Wolverhampton is offering 3 options for students wanting to work in the creative industries:
Level 3 Certificate in Creative Craft – Floristry
Level 3 Certificate in Creative Craft – Painting & Drawing
Level 3 Certificate in Creative Craft – Sewing & Textiles

This qualification will:

  • focus on the study of creative crafts
  • extend your skills to an advanced level
  • provide opportunities for you to gain practical and technical skills
  • extend your awareness and understanding of health and safety issues
  • provide a basis for progression onto further study or employment.

Ever wanted to teach English as a foreign language?

Adult Education Wolverhampton offers 2 options to study towards the CELTA teaching qualification.


Cambridge Certificate in English Language Teaching for Adults – CELTA
This Level 5 qualification is one of the most popular and desirable English language teaching qualifications world-wide. You do not need to have previous teaching experience but you must have a very good standard of written and spoken English.


On this course you will:

  • learn the principles of effective teaching
  • gain a range of practical teaching skills
  • get valuable hands-on teaching experience

You may join a course on Fridays from October to March or attend the 3 day per week summer course from May to June.

Ever wanted to work signing for the deaf?

If you have already gained a Level 2 signing qualification, or have substantial experience using BSL already, you may apply to study for the Level 3 qualification.  On the course you will improve and extend your skills in signing in different contexts and study the linguistics of BSL.

After completing Level 3 you can progress to working as communication support for the deaf or progress to the next level study required to follow a career in interpreting.
