Learn new skills and develop your creative passion

There are many subjects to choose from including painting & drawing, art & design, pottery, knitting & crochet, jewellery making and much more. You can follow an interest, progress to qualifications, prepare for employment or self-employment in the creative industries. Taking part in group creative activities can also help improve your health and wellbeing.

We have classes to suit people of all abilities, interests and ambitions, we offer courses at all levels from complete beginners to Level 3.

Fast Track your way to university

The one year ’Fast Track’ Access to Higher Education Diploma in Art & Design will provide you with an opportunity to develop new art and design skills, build a portfolio of artwork and gain a qualification which could lead you to a degree course in Art & Design at university. If you aren’t yet ready for Level 3, our Pre-Access to the Creative Industries course will get you started in a range of creative subjects including art, media and music. You’ll also get the opportunity to improve your English, maths, ICT and study skills - essential if you want to go on to higher level study or into employment.

Learning Clubs

Learning Clubs are perfect if you want to learn in an informal class. They cater for both beginners and experienced students. We arrange access to facilities, equipment and support from a self-employed tutor-facilitator. As a student in a learning club you will pay a course fee directly to the self-employed tutor-facilitator and a small fee to Adult Education Wolverhampton.

Develop your English, maths and ICT skills

If you haven’t got GCSE or Functional Skills Level 2 English and maths, we encourage you to join courses in these subjects. Developing your English, maths and ICT skills will increase your chances of being successful on your chosen course. Strong English and maths skills will also help prepare you for study at the next level and for employment or self-employment. Please ask your teacher about how to join English and maths courses.
