Art, Crafts and Creative Media

Art, Crafts & Creative Media

Learn new skills and develop your creative passion.

There are many subjects to choose from including painting & drawing, art & design, pottery, knitting & crochet, jewellery making, hat making and much more.

You can take up an interest, progress to qualifications or prepare for employment or self-employment in the creative industries. Taking part in group creative activities can also help improve your health and wellbeing.

We have courses to suit people of all abilities, interests and ambitions, offering classes at all levels, from complete beginners to Level 3.

The Access to Higher Education Diploma in Art & Design will provide you with an opportunity to develop new art and design skills, build a portfolio of artwork and gain a qualification which could lead you to a degree course in art & design at university.

Not ready for Level 3?

If you aren’t ready for Level 3, our Pre-Access to the Creative Industries course will get you started in a range of creative subjects, including the arts, media and music.

You’ll also get the opportunity to improve your English, maths, IT and study skills; important if you want to go on to higher level study or get a job.

Learning Clubs are perfect if you want to learn in an informal class. They are for beginners and experienced students. We give access to facilities, equipment and support from a teacher-facilitator. As a student in a learning club you will pay a course fee directly to the teacher-facilitator and a small fee of £48 per year to Adult Education Wolverhampton if the class takes place in one of our venues.
