Access to Higher Education

Access courses are aimed at adults aged 19+ who would like to undertake degree level study, but who don’t yet have the formal qualifications required for this.

Each year, a high number of our successful Access students gain entry to universities, including the University of Wolverhampton, Birmingham City University, Coventry University, Worcester University, Newman College, Staffordshire University, York University and Keele University.

Over the course of a year, our “fast track” Access to Higher Education Level 3 programme develops your skills in English, Maths, IT and Study Skills alongside your subject knowledge. This will increase your confidence and prepare you for study at university.

If you are not yet ready for Level 3, our Level 2 Pre-Access course will get you started. You’ll also get the opportunity to improve your Maths, English and IT - essential skills if you want to go on to higher level study or gain employment.
