The Wolverhampton Adult Education Service is paying particular attention to the needs of employers in its curriculum offer for 2008 - 2009 with NVQ courses leading the way. NVQs are available in various subjects including ICT, Health and Social Care, Supporting Teaching and Learning, Customer Care, Call Contact Centre Professionals and Children’s Care Learning and Development.
NVQ courses are an excellent way to gain a qualification whilst working or volunteering and gaining practical experience at the same time. The majority are flexible and allow you to choose units that are relevant and so customise the qualification to suit your needs.
The ITQ in particular allows you to learn at different levels to improve your skills and helps you to work more efficiently and effectively whilst producing work in the natural course of your employ to submit for assessment.
We are currently also working with employers to provide Literacy and Numeracy courses to give employees the skills they need to be successful in their work and to give them lifelong skills.
