Community Education aims to increase your opportunity to learn if you live in any of Wolverhampton’s “priority neighbourhoods”.

We provide high-quality learning opportunities closer to your home through our network of learning centres. Sometimes, we manage these ourselves, but in most cases they are run with local agencies to develop local learning opportunities.

The programmes at these centres are developed locally in each area or neighbourhood and they change and develop during the year depending on people’s needs. As a result, there is no formal prospectus for Community Learning so if you are interested in the opportunities offered at any of the centres, please call the relevant centre, or Viv Buckard, Community Guidance Manager, on 01902 551647. You can also e-mail

Community Education is supported by an information, advice and guidance (IAG) service which has two guidance advisers, three information and advice staff and two advisers who are qualified as Connexions Personal Advisers.
